Raindrop Technique
Raindrop Technique is the application of Young Living Essential Oils along the spine, feet and shoulders to remove toxins and strengthen the immune, nervous, and musculoskeletal systems. It is relaxing as the oils penetrate the body with nutrients for enhanced vitality and resistance.

Raindrop Technique Application

The Raindrop Technique is the application of a sequence of Young Living Essential Oils dropped about 6 – 8 inches above the spine, like raindrops, as a client lies face down on a massage table. Several techniques are then used to facilitate absorption of the oils into the spine and nerve endings to release toxins. Oils are also applied to the soles of the feet and shoulders for reinforced benefits. Massage-grade oil is used as a protective layer to prevent an overly intense application. The session is completed as a hot wet towel is applied over the layered oils to enhance the therapeutic benefits of the session.

Oils Used in Raindrop Technique

The basic sequence is 9 different oils. The facilitator will vary the number of oils, number of drops of each oil, and order of oils to suit the needs of each client. Every Raindrop Technique is not identical to another one. The varying situations of each client are always of utmost concern and respect.

Young Living Essential Oils in the Raindrop Technique

Young Living Essential Oils are 100% pure with no additives. They are also therapeutic grade, meaning that the constituents of each oil fall within the range acceptable for therapeutic grade oils. This is made possible by low pressure, low heat steam distillation of organically grown herbs in very controlled, pristine conditions. Once the Young Living oils are produced, samples of each batch are sent to 5 independent laboratories for analysis to insure the resulting oil is within therapeutic grade range. If the results of one laboratory fail to meet the standards, the batch is rejected. Young Living’s dedication to precision quality standards results in oils that have a far greater therapeutic effect.

Development of Raindrop Technique

“Raindrop Technique originated in the 1980’s from the research of D. Gary Young working with a Lakota medicine man named Wallace Black Elk. It integrates Vita Flex and massage, utilizing the power of essential oils in bringing the body into structural and electrical alignment.” Essential Oils Desk Reference, 2001. Essential Science Publishing.

Vita Flex

Vita Flex massage is a Tibetan healing modality applied primarily to the feet, although other areas may also be addressed. It looks somewhat similar to reflexology in appearance. However, it is quite different in its science and application. Vita Flex works with the electrical currents inherent in our own bodies to stimulate specific target areas of the body via reflex points in the feet.

Raindrop Experience

During a Raindrop Technique you will relax in a safe, compassionate environment and enjoy application of the oils. Finally, heated wet towels are applied to facilitate penetration of the oils deep into the body. After the session, the oils will continue to work in your body for up to a week. You will be grounded and able to drive after the session.

Raindrop Testimonials

“I am a licensed massage therapist, and Raindrop is my first choice when a new client comes to me with ‘everything’ wrong. It settles mental and physical stuff to a level that massage will be more beneficial. Also, some people still come for their massage, even if they are sick, like with a cold. I usually will do a Raindrop on them before the massage to help the healing start, as well as clearing the sinuses.” A Statistical Validation of Raindrop Technique, David Stewart, PhD, RA.
