About Me

Family
I have three grown daughters. My girls are happily leading their own lives in Louisiana, Florida, and middle Georgia, as they attend college, law school and start their own families. I am very proud of the beautiful young women they have become and their zest for independence and adventure.

Born in the desert of California, growing up in Greensboro, NC, visiting German relatives in Canada, relocating to New Orleans early in high school and finally attending a boarding school in the Caribbean aboard two sailing ships for my senior year of high school, I was exposed to travel and adventure early in life.

My children were all born in Louisiana, where I lived for 17 years, mostly in New Orleans. I have now been in the Atlanta area for 12 years after a job in Louisville, Kentucky for 5 years. I really enjoy the Snellville and Stone Mountain area, just east of Atlanta. With convenient access to beaches, mountains, and the plentiful resources of the big city, it makes a good home for me.

Profession
I am an Information Systems Project Manager with a background in mainframe programming. I have always pursued quality, credibility, and accuracy, which led me from programming into Project Management. I became certified as a Project Management Professional early in 2000, followed by a Master’s in Project Management in 2004. I have enjoyed motivating, building confidence, and making significant contributions to business needs through working with project teams. I have also enjoyed restoring a credible, reliable reputation to the Information Technology arena through the use of sound estimates and reliable methods of keeping projects on track. This has awarded me a great sense of accomplishment.

Discovery of Essential Oils
After nearly a decade of working with my long-time friend, Claudia Lanigan, using organic whole food dried herbs, I was introduced to essential oils by Claudia in early 2000. Since that time, I have used essential oils and herbal remedies exclusively for all my ailments. My passion for essential oils developed upon realization that we have at our immediate disposal such valuable tools for health improvement. The value of pure therapeutic grade essential oils must not be under-estimated. They are truly our inherent treasures. My continued path with Claudia led me to become attuned as a Reiki Master and learn a great deal about nutritional cleansing and alternatives. Together, we attended several Young Living workshops, including Raindrop Technique, taught by the founder of Young Living Essential Oils, Dr. Gary Young. Today, Claudia and I continue to work together sharing essential oils with others and pursuing a variety of healing modalities.

Introduction to Integrative Kinesiology
I met Juliet Mathison of Stone Mountain, GA in January 2003. Juliet offered classes in Holistic Nutrition and later in Integrative Kinesiology. She has a wealth of carefully chosen, perfectly orchestrated topics of information to share with the world. She is a magnificent teacher, leader, and inspiration in the holistic community. My study of Integrative Kinesiology opened a new realm of consciousness for me, as I learned and experienced methods of unblocking pent-up emotional barriers, unknown to most of us, in order to attain a higher level of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual balance in our lives. The ability to do this for myself as well as others has truly been a treasured gift.
